Why MECH AI

Four promises.
Every feature ladders up to one.

These are the reasons MECH AI exists. If a feature doesn't serve one of them, it doesn't ship.

01

Confidence

Know what's wrong, know what to do, know what to buy.

Cars have become rolling computers. Most owners walk into a service bay outmatched. MECH AI's core emotional promise is simple: stop feeling overwhelmed by your own car.

a rolling Vehicle Health score per car — know what it needs before it asks

02

Savings

Skip the $150 diagnostic fee.

DIYers save on shop visits. Pros save on tool subscriptions. Shops save on bay time. Every tier pays for itself with a single avoided mistake.

~$1,200 saved vs. a dealer catalyst replacement — the P0420 case from our demo

03

Speed

Symptom to solution in under two minutes.

Chat beats forum archaeology. Contextual answers beat generic ones. Integrated parts beat copy-pasting into Amazon. Time to answer is the metric that matters.

"It's been able to correctly diagnose the exact problem first." — Alix Goldpoint, professional mechanic

04

Trust

Honest answers — even when the answer is "take it to a shop."

We're transparent about what the AI can't do. We cite TSBs when we have them. When a job needs a lift or special tools, we say so — and tell you what the shop should charge.

How MECH AI talks.

Like the sharpest tech you know — been turning wrenches since they were fourteen, explains things without condescending, and would rather show you the fix than hold the knowledge over your head.

Sounds like

"That code usually points to a bad MAF sensor on this generation."

"You can do this in your driveway with basic tools."

"Worth $30 in parts and an afternoon."

Doesn't sound like

"As an AI, I cannot definitively diagnose your vehicle."

"Democratizing automotive repair through AI."

"Seamlessly integrate your automotive lifecycle."

Our story

A mechanic friend, built for everyone.

MECH AI started as a simple question: why does everyone with a car feel outmatched by it? Car ownership is at an all-time high. So is the gap between owners and the vehicles they drive. Cars have become rolling computers, repair shops are consolidating, dealer labor rates keep climbing, and the average consumer walks into a service bay feeling outmatched.

At the same time, professional mechanics are buried in information — factory service manuals, TSBs, recalls, OE part numbers, cross-references, labor guides. The reference tools they rely on were built for the desktop era and cost hundreds of dollars a month.

Two pain points. One platform. That's the bet.

MECH AI combines a conversational AI mechanic, a full digital garage, plain-English TSB lookups, and an integrated parts search — so a DIYer can go from "what's that noise?" to "which part do I buy?" without leaving the app, and a pro can collapse a workflow that used to span five tools into one.

The product runs on a frontier AI model, wrapped in automotive reasoning. It ships on iOS, Android, and the web, and it's priced so anyone who works on cars can actually afford it. The mission hasn't changed: make every car owner a more confident DIYer and every mechanic a more productive pro.
