Can I switch plans later?
Yes — you manage the change where you subscribed. Web subscriptions are managed from the app's Subscription page: if you already have an active plan, switch it there rather than starting a second subscription. iOS and Android subscriptions are changed in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Billing timing for a change follows your billing provider's rules, and support@mechai.app can help if you're ever unsure.
Is the free tier really free?
Yes, forever. It's ad-supported, and it includes a daily AI Mechanic chat allowance — no card required. The paid tiers remove ads and unlock the tools you'll actually use if you turn wrenches regularly.
Is the yearly discount real?
Yes. Yearly billing is about 30% off monthly billing on the self-serve paid tiers. SHOP MANAGER is currently a guided pilot, so its scope and pilot pricing are confirmed with each shop before onboarding.
How does the Shop plan work for a team?
One AUTOSHOP account covers your shop's shared devices — bay tablets, the service desk, the shop phone. If you need named team members, customer records, repair orders, and invoices, apply for the guided SHOP MANAGER pilot.
What payment methods do you accept?
Billing runs through the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe on the web. All major cards supported, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where available.
Do you offer refunds?
Subscription refunds are handled by the store you subscribed through (Apple, Google, or Stripe on web). If you're unhappy, email support@mechai.app and we'll make it right.
